Professional in Human Resources International

This is considered an advanced certification and is meant to indicate skills in the technical and operational aspects of HR management. To be eligible for the PHRi, you must posses one of the following combinations of experience: one year of experience in a professional-level HR position and a master’s degree or higher, two years or longer experience in a professional-level HR position and a bachelor’s degree, or at least four years of experience in a professional-level HR position and a high school diploma. This certification focuses on employee labor relations, business management, talent planning and acquisition, total rewards, and learning and development.

WHO IS THIS CERTIFICATION MEANT FOR?

The Professional in Human Resources – International™ (PHRi™) from HR Certification Institute® is intended for internationally based practitioners, validates professional-level competency, knowledge and skills that helps propel your HR career forward. With the PHRi, you demonstrate mastery of generally accepted technical and operational HR principles in a single international setting.

AM I QUALIFIED?

To qualify for the PHRi, you must have, at least, any of the following:

One year of experience in a professional-level HR position and a master’s degree or global equivalent

Two years of experience in a professional-level HR position and a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent

Four years of experience in a professional-level HR position and a high school diploma or global equivalent.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Vantage Certifications have a hands-on process that helps you get the best out of your learning experience and pass the exam on your first try.

There are 3 different learning approaches;

The In-Class Training (this process starts with a 6-day in-class training done weekends/weekdays, followed by a virtual learning schedule for another 6 weeks to help complete the learning period), An Online learning approach (this involves access to pre-recorded videos and other learning materials) and the self-paced/self-study learning option.

WHAT IS RECERTIFICATION?

The PHRi certification is valid for three years after testing. To maintain this credential, you must earn 60 recertification credits over the three-year time span or retake the exam.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT FOR THE EXAMINATION?

Computer-based Testing (CBT) and paper-based Testing (PBT)

Exam time: 3 hours and 15 minutes

Exam length: 145 multiple-choice questions + 25 pretest questions

Language: English (Spanish Translation Aid available)

WHEN CAN I WRITE MY EXAM?

The PHRi examinations can be written all year-round, but this is subject to availability at the Prometric testing center of your choice.

Examination Cost:  $340

There will be no refunds once an exam application is approved, whether a candidate withdraws or no longer wishes to take the exam because the access code to the HRBoK cannot be rescinded/de-activated.
